Fifth Third Bank kicks off free eBus tour for financial empowerment

Fifth Third Bank announced they are kicking off their free eBus tour for financial empowerment Tuesday.

According to the bank, the Fifth Third Bank Financial Empowerment Mobile, eBus, tour will run between July 18th and August 13th, and is open to anyone in the community.

Fifth Third Bank said the 40-foot bus is retro-fitted as a mobile classroom, equipped with 14 computers and satellite technology. They said the bus is staffed by Fifth Third bankers and non-profit community organizers.

The bank said this year's tour will provide financial education focused on potential homebuyers, small business owners, job seekers and senior citizens.

Here are the topics you will be able to learn about:

  • Request a credit report and review it with a professional
  • Receive personalized evaluation of finances
  • Receive Internet Banking and Bill Payment demonstrations
  • Speak with non-profit organizations regarding housing, money management and business advice
  • Receive consultation on foreclosure prevention
  • Conduct online job searches

The tour kicks off Tuesday morning at the Habitat of Humanity of Mid-Ohio in Westerville, and ends on August 13th at the CAPA - Festival Latino on W Broad St.
