Made Local: Zassy’s Treasures
GROVE CITY, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) —
He was a paramedic that liked to build things, she liked to repurpose and design.
Together, they combined their love for farmhouse living, handmade pieces, vintage decor and even their names Zach and Cassy Adams and created Zassy's.
Their style is Farmhouse - that comfortable, casual look of rural farm living.
Their specialty is custom farmhouse tables.
Zassy’s Treasures is a monthly storefront in Grove City and a twice-yearly barn sale on their 22 acre family farm.
“We do a lot of repurposed furniture where we go to auctions and garage sales and find treasures,” Cassy says, “Then I bring them home, then I give them new life by either painting them or refinishing the tops or changing the legs. Then we bring them to the store and then we offer them in our show room.
Zassys Treasures is all about design, construction, support for other local artisans and family
Cassy says she loves working with her husband. “We're together 24 hours a day. Since the shop opened for Christmas, this is the longest we've been apart because we're very hands on with our kids. It can be hard with children. We try to involve them in everything that we do and I love working with my husband because he's my best friend and I get very inspired by him. We are both are so inspired by each other.”
Zassy's Treasures storefront is in Downtown Grove City and the barn sale is also in Grove City on their property. For more information, visit their website: http://zassystreasures.com/
