Community attends vigil for Chillicothe's Missing Women
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) —
A Chillicothe community came together Friday evening to attend a vigil for missing people including Wanda Lemons.
Lemons has been missing since October 2014. On Friday, five crews searched a Ross County Lake for her body.
Between 2014 and 2015, Lemons is one of six women in Chillicothe to go missing. Four of the women have been found dead. Lemons and Charlotte Trego are still missing.
At Friday's vigil, Lemons' mother Diana Willett believes her daughter's body is in the Ross County lake.
"I just know that she's there. I feel it," said Willett.
The vigil was organized by family friends of Wanda Lemons who say the vigil is for all missing people.
Dive crews are said to return to the lake Saturday to continue their search for Wanda. Her mother says she'll be there as well hoping for closure.
"I pray to god that no other mother has to go through what I've been through in the last three years," said Willett.
