Crystal meth seized during warrant execution for Portsmouth man
PORTSMOUTH, Ohio —
The Scioto County Sheriff's Office and Portsmouth police have arrested a man for an outstanding warrant Monday afternoon.
According to a press release from the Scioto County Sheriff's Office, the southern Ohio Drug Task Force assisted deputies and officers with the Portsmouth Police Department, execute a warrant in the 1600 block of Dewey Street C. During the operation authorities arrested of 35-year-old Lloyd Russell Coyner.
Authorities say Conyer had an outstanding warrant for his arrest by the Portsmouth Municipal Court for failing to appear in court after he was convicted of a drug abuse offense.
Conyer's was arrested during a traffic stop . Police say he had seven grams of crystal methamphetamine on him. The drug task force seized roughly 30 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine along with additional suspected controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, and evidence of drug trafficking.
He is currently being held without bond and will be arraigned inside of the Portsmouth Municipal Court
