DUI Task Force announces sobriety checkpoint on Cleveland Avenue Friday night

The Franklin County DUI TASK Force announced a sobriety checkpoint will be happening on Cleveland Ave Friday night.

According to the Task Force, the sobriety checkpoint will happen in the area of Cleveland Ave and Wallcrest Blvd from 9 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.

"We concentrate our efforts with saturation patrols, sobriety checkpoints, and campaigns like 'Click It or Ticket May' and 'Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over' to improve the safety on Ohio’s roadways," said the Franklin County DUI Task Force in a statement. "By encouraging seat belt usage, decreasing impaired/distracted driving, and enforcing Ohio’s traffic safety laws, lives are being saved. The Franklin County DUI Task Force wants to impress upon those who will be consuming alcohol to plan for a designated driver or make other arrangements."
