Kenny Road gas station clerk stabbed during robbery

Columbus Police now searching for a masked thief who assaulted a clerk at knife point during an early morning robbery on Kenny Rd.

"It could've been worse, but he is OK," said Francine Price, the sister of the cashier who was stabbed twice in the upper left arm, while he was working alone in the store overnight Thursday.

"That's the first time that anything like that has ever happened to him in his life, it really scared him," said Price

According to CPD's Robbery Unit, the Circle K at 1574 Kenny Rd was robbed just before 2 a.m. Police said a man entered the store and drew a large knife, demanding cash. According to the police report, the clerk was stabbed during the robbery. Police said the clerk was taken to Wexner Medical center without life-threatening injuries.

"I go over there everyday," said Kody Ball, who lives just down the street from the store, "never had any problems here, I have lived here for a year, first problem and the biggest problem that has happened here."

According to police, the suspect fled on foot with cash from the register.
