Columbus Police have confirmed that they have arrested the man who attacked a Short North artist last week.

Tyler Baldwin, 33, is accused of attacking 63-year-old Malcolm Jones on March 1. Jones is known for his street art in the Short North.

Baldwin has been charged with felonious assault after witnesses said he smashed a bottle over Malcolm Jones' face, which left his right eye slashed open. Baldwin was allegedly unruly and kicked out of Mike's Grill on High Street by Jones and others when he reportedly sneaked back into the establishment and attacked Jones.

Doctors at OSU Wexner Medical Center have told Jones that he will likely not regain sight in that eye. Jones said his left eye has long been plagued by glaucoma, meaning most of his eyesight will now be gone.

A GoFundMe account has been created to assist Jones' with medical bills.
