Man in life-threatening condition after shooting near OSU
A shooting ended with a man in life-threatening condition near Ohio State's campus late Sunday night.
Columbus police said the victim officers found in an apartment building at 165 E 11th Ave was not a student at Ohio State.
A 911 caller told dispatchers gunshots were being fired shortly after 11:30 p.m., police said.
Detectives have not released any details on a suspect or what led to the shooting.
Police later identified the victim as 33-year-old Mohamed Abidraman Mead. He was rushed to Wexner Medical Center in critical condition.
CPD Homicide Unit was handling the investigation due to the seriousness of his injuries.
