The New Albany Classic to end run in 2018
NEW ALBANY, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) -- One of Central Ohio's most prominent charity events has ended after two decades.
According to a statement on the New Albany Classic's website, the event, which was headlined by the horse-racing spectacle and concerts, has "hung up its helmet."
It went on to thank all those put on the event through the years as the "most productive Grand Prix fundraiser in the history of the sport in the United States."
In its 20 year-run, officials said it raised more than $32 million for the services provided The Center for Family Safety and a Healing for support and awareness of family violence.
