PORTLAND, OR (WSYX/WTTE) -- Nora the polar bear has warmed a lot of hearts in her nearly two years, but few, if any before, ever got to share a kiss with her.

That changed at the Oregon Zoo when the former Columbus Zoo resident smooched a young boy through the glass at her exhibit.

Nora, who turns two in November, has been in Oregon since last December, when the the The Association of Zoos and Aquarium’s Species Survival Plan (SSP) approved the move so that the Columbus Zoo could provide the best environment for future cubs to be born.

Since her departure, three new polar bear cubs were born last year and occupy the space the Columbus Zoo (Amelia Gray, Nuniq and Neva).
