Plain City parents plea for return of deceased son's personal belongings
PLAIN CITY, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) -- Madison County parents are begging for the return of sports memorabilia that belonged to their ten-year-old son before he died of cancer.
Amy Nash said the items were stolen from her home sometime in the late morning and early afternoon hours of Monday October 9th, while her husband was at work and she was in the hospital with her, mom who is also battling cancer.
"This has been horrible. It's like reliving a nightmare again,” said Nash.
Nash explained her son Austin, was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Before he died eight years ago, the ten year old received autographed jerseys and a football from the Steelers, Cincinnati Bengals, and Ohio State Buckeyes.
The mother said other items inside the house were taken, but all she wants are her son’s belongings.
"If you know anything or see anything please, please, I'm begging you from a broken mother's heart. Please bring my son's stuff back,” said Nash.
Nash said the stolen items were reported to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
