Police search for clues after man hospitalized in far east Columbus shooting

A man was hospitalized after a shooting in far east Columbus Wednesday night.

Police said officers were dispatched to the area of Matuka Drive, east of Falcon Bridge Drive around 10:41 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found a man lying in the grass next to the road. He was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

He was taken to Grant Medical Center, and is expected to recover.
