Shooting victim a target for the second time in a month
A victim of a shooting earlier this month on Avondale Ave was a targeted once again Friday near the intersection of Sullivant Ave and Hawkes Ave.
"I was standing and smoking a cigarette and all of a sudden I heard pop, pop, pop," said Travis, who was standing on a corner when the shooting happened
Columbus Police say the 18-year-old male victim was walking down the street on crutches when someone fired at him and missed. The accused shooters then ran into a house before police arrived to the scene.
"I have a 14-year-old daughter," said Illene Quendelfinger, "I am afraid of her going outside to play, it has never been this bad, until this year."
Columbus Police are now investigating if the two shootings are connected.
Four people were taken into custody for questioning but so far charges have been filed.
