Two raids of Lancaster massage parlors in one week
For the second time in a week, police in Lancaster raided and shut down a massage parlor where they believe sex acts were being exchanged for money.
Police arrested the owner of Jin's Wellness Center on Forest Rose Road Thursday afternoon.
Jinrong Hedrick faces two counts of soliciting and procuring prostitution. The woman is a Columbus resident, although law enforcement officials said she was staying at least part-time at the facility.
Police said she appeared to be the only person exchanging sex for money, however they continue to investigate to see if human trafficking was taking place there.
Neighbors, who did not want to be identified, said they noticed strange occurrences at the business, which they said formerly was home to a legitimate massage therapist. The neighbors said they noticed an all male clientele and out-of-state call cars in the parking lot. The neighbors also claimed to have seen weekly deliveries of Asian women.
Last week, police shut down a massage parlor less than a mile away. However, they said it does not appear the two businesses were connected.
