Woman identified in fatal crash on I-270 in west Columbus
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) -- Police have identified the woman who died in a deadly accident on I-270 northbound in west Columbus Thursday night.
Quivonna Bonner, a 27-year-old from Newark, was driving a 1999 Toyota Camry on I-270 near Roberts Road when she lost control and ran off the left side of the roadway. It was there when police said the car struck a parked, flatbed semi tractor-trailer loaded with loaded with concrete barriers around 7:59 p.m. The semi was unoccupied. Medics pronounced Bonner dead 12 minutes later.
Police say it remains unclear why Bonner went off the road.
The crash remains under investigation.
It's the city's 50th traffic-related fatality in 2017.
