VANDALIA, Mo. (KRCG) - The Audrain County Circuit Court released documents Tuesday related to a body found.

Jennifer Middleton was reported missing on April 26 to the Vandalia Police Department.

According to the Audrain County Sheriff’s Department, the investigation revealed Middleton had not been seen or heard from in about two years.

A woman informed police Friday that John Lue told her his girlfriend, Middleton, died when he was with her and that he had buried her body inside his home in Vandalia.

That same day, investigators said they interviewed Lue at the sheriff’s department.

During the interview, Lue said on Dec. 26, 2015, he went home and found Middleton in bed and she complained of being cold and unable to warm herself up, according to court documents.

Lue said they laid in bed until Middleton died; he then buried her in the floor of his home on the 800 block of Limit Street.

Investigators also said Lue made statements regarding having been “dealing with this” for “over two years.”

The Audrain County prosecutor charged Lue with abandonment of a corpse on Saturday.
