Columbus Metro Library to kick off Summer Reading Club in June
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) -- The Columbus Metropolitan Library is preparing for another season of its summer reading program.
The Summer Reading Club, which goes from June 3 to August 5, will allow students to stay sharp with their reading over the summer, while allowing them to earn badges and prizes, while also playing games and learning valuable reading tips, especially for young readers.
The program will kick off with a family-friendly celebration on June 3 at the Main Library on S. Grant Ave where there'll be activities, games, music, and food.
People can either sign up online or at a CML branch starting on June 3. Those wanting to participate need a library card/membership to sign up.
Volunteers, especially those from ages 12-17 looking to add experience to their resumes, can also sign up to help patrons sign up and with the programs.
