If you're planning on planting, make sure to call before you dig

Mother's Day weekend is a popular time for a lot of people to plant flowers and greenery around their property. But Columbia Gas is reminding people to call 8-1-1 before starting any of those projects, to make sure there aren't underground lines in the area.

Columbia Gas says an underground utility line is damaged every six minutes. They're able to check their system to make sure the area you want to dig in is clear. They do suggest calling two business days before.

You can get all the information about checking for underground lines on their website here.
