California McDonald's flips golden arches in support of International Women's Day

LYNWOOD, Calif. (WJLA) - In honor of International Women's Day, a McDonald's franchise in Lynwood, California, flipped its iconic golden arches to form a "W."

In a statement to CNN, McDonald's Chief Diversity Officer Wendy Lewis said it was done "in honor of the extraordinary accomplishments of women everywhere."

Across the country, another 100 franchises – all owned by women – will celebrate by flipping the logo on their packaging and crews' attire.
