Teen graduates high school after 12 years of perfect attendance
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — A local teen did not miss a single day of school for 12 years, according to a release from Horry County Schools.
Charli Watts, a graduating senior from Myrtle Beach High School, was recognized by the State Superintendent of Education for perfect attendance in grades 1-12.
Watts was presented with a letter and a certificate from State Superintendent Spearman and was the only Horry County Schools student with perfect 12 years of attendance for the Class of 2018.
“To graduate without missing a single day of class in your 12-year academic career is an extraordinary accomplishment that is the culmination of hard work and determination,” said State Superintendent of Education Molly Spearman.
