CRIME OF THE WEEK: Armed Man Robs North Columbus UDF

Updated: Sunday, December 15 2013, 11:55 PM EST
COLUMBUS (Camille Doty) -- An armed man targets a United Dairy Farmers on the 300 block of Hudson Street in North Columbus around noon, December 6.

Police say he kept his finger on the trigger when he demanded cash from the drawer. He also lifted a customer’s wallet from the counter.

Witnesses tell police they heard him place a round in the chamber.

Detective Gerald Milner says this thief could easily escalate to violence, if victims put up a fight.

"You can tell by the way he's aiming the gun he doesn't seem like he's nervous or hesitant with the weapon at all," he says.

Milner says the suspect stands about 6 feet tall, weighs about 200 pounds, and is in between his late 20’s and early 30’s.

He has freckles and a tattoo near his left eye.

On the day of the robbery he wore a black pullover sweatshirt, black stocking cap, black jeans, and red Ohio State gloves with black palms.

Tips could lead to a reward.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call Columbus police at 614-461-TIPS, or text a tip to “CRIMES” 274637, keyword CMH.
