COLUMBUS –- Neighbors fought back to help take down a burglar accused of ripping off two Ohio State University students.
Natalie, 21, told ABC 6/FOX 28 she discovered a stranger standing in her off-campus home on Monday afternoon, holding her 32” TV under his arm.
“I came out, I saw him in the doorway, and he ran out the door," Natalie said. "I followed him, yelling at him.”
Neighbors soon joined the chase, eventually helping to capture the suspect a few blocks away.
“That’s awesome, I didn’t think I ever talked to the guys that chased him down," Natalie said. "They didn’t think about it, they just ran.”
Stanley Sydnor, 37, is now locked up and charged with burglary. Prosecutors say he is currently on parole for breaking into a home near campus back in 2011.
