COLUMBUS (Steve Levine) -- ABC 6/FOX 28 is "On Your Side" with tips on how to fight back against a kidnapper.
We checked public police records and found that there have been at least six attempted abductions in the past year in central Ohio.
Groveport Police Chief Ralph Portier told us parents should always keep a complete, updated description of their children in case they go missing.
Police say most people are good at remembering sizes and colors of cars, but they should also try to remember specific details, including the license plate number and any possible dents or rust.
While police say parents should make sure their kids know to never leave with strangers, police say 75 percent of victims are abducted by someone they know.
