Updated: Thursday, August 22 2013, 07:09 PM EDT
COLUMBUS (Steve Levine/Ken Hines) -- Northwest Side businesses are fighting back after a string of restaurant and store break-ins that occurred over a four day span.

Asian Star China Buffet at 2847 Festival Lane was burglarized Thursday morning when thieves broke in and stole cash from the register.

A similar break-in happened early Sunday Morning when an unknown person broke a front window and cleaned out the cash register at Dakshin Indian Bistro at 6642 Sawmill Road.

“They knew where the cash was. They were in and out very quickly,” said Dakshin Bistro owner Ram Nugoore.

Employees from Verizon Wireless, two Subway Restaurants, and Jimmy Johns have all reported thefts since Sunday.

Columbus Police are now investigating to determine if the crimes are related.Thieves Target NW Columbus Businesses
