COLUMBUS--A neighbor's instincts may have sent two men behind bars. He caught them breaking into someone's apartment.
Friday morning around 8:45, Columbus Police responded to a break-in in the 4000 block of Myer Road. Two men were seen fleeing the scene. Both were caught and taken into custody.
Police said it looked like they were trying to steal a bunch of electronics. ABC 6/ FOX 28 got a hold of the owner, who said his apartment has been burglarized. Monday, he said several pairs of Jordan sneakers were taken. He did not want
to be identified on camera.
"I post on instagram -- quite a few of my shoes," the owner said. "Right now, I don't know who the people are. I can't tell you if they're following me or I'm following them."
Friday, while trying to run away the suspects left behind a green truck. Neighbors tell ABC 6/ FOX 28 they've seen the same vehicle drive up and down their street multiple times. Police impounded the vehicle.
The victim doesn't know who the two alleged burglars are. Detectives haven't released their names at this time. Both were charged with burglary.
