Car Ends Up Under a Semi on I-270

COLUMBUS -- Franklin County Sheriff's deputies are investigating an early morning accident that happened on I-270 westbound at SR 23 on the south side.
Crews had to shut the freeway down just before 7 a.m. after a person lost control of their car and crashed into the side of a semi.
The car ended up under the middle part of the semi and the driver had to cut from the wreckage.
That driver was taken to Mt. Carmel West hospital is stable condition.
No word on whether that driver will be cited.
Traffic backed up for miles making a mess on the south outer belt. The freeway was reopened a couple hours later.
