NORTHWEST COLUMBUS -- Neighbors think someone has been trying to break into their cars after they found suspicious footprints in the snow.
Paul Trautman told ABC 6/ FOX 28 he found the prints in the freshly fallen snow Wednesday morning. The trail travels from car door to car door and stops by nearly all of the houses on Pinto Court.
Trautman said he tried to follow the trail, but wasn't able to find the culprit. He said it's the first time it's happened in the snow, but not the first time someone has tried to steal stuff from people's cars in their neighborhood.
Columbus Police said in January a woman on Pinto Court reported three suspicious men dressed in black walking through her yard. She told police she was concerned after recent car break-ins.
Trautman told ABC 6/FOX 28 that most people on his street lock their cars. Only one car was broken into, but nothing was taken.
