House, Cars Shot Up Overnight on East Side

COLUMBUS -- Columbus Police are investigating an overnight shooting that left homes and cars riddled with bullet holes.

According to officials, three different weapons, an assault rifle and two handguns, were used to shoot up a home in the 1700 block of E. Rich Street.

Police quickly apprehended a number of suspects at E. Main Street and Alum Creek Drive. The car they were in was seen fleeing the scene and tossing weapons along S. Nelson Rd.

Officials located all three weapons, believed to have been used in the shooting, lying in the middle of S. Nelson Rd.

No one was injured in the shooting.
