Man Leaves Victim at Hospital; Charged with Tampering With Evidence
Updated: Saturday, February 23 2013, 12:53 PM EST DOWNTOWN COLUMBUS--The man accused of dropping off a shooting victim at a hospital has been charged with tampering with evidence. Columbus Police believe 23-year-old Antonio Evans took 25-year-old Tony Walton to Mount Carmel East around 9:00 Wednesday night. Evans, the driver, told hospital workers that Walton was shot, then took off. Two hours later, Walton passed away at the hospital. Police searched for the vehicle that was seen at Mt. Carmel East. They found Evans Friday night at the Ramada Inn on East Broad street. It's unknown where the shooting took place. ----------- Reporter: Jen French
