COLUMBUS -- Police continue to search for suspects who are responsible for killing a man in southwest Columbus Wednesday night.

Columbus Police Homicide Detectives say a short time after 11:00 p.m. on February 27, 2013, Larry A. Sigman II, 39, and his wife were at their home on the 2200 block of Eakin Road. They heard a knock on the door, but ignored it.

A few minutes later, there was another knock on the door, this time Sigman answered the door. Police say when he opened the door, he was shot multiple times.

Sigman was rushed to Mount Carmel West Hospital where he later died after 4:00 a.m. on Thursday. Sigman's wife was also taken to the hospital suffering from a medical condition not directly caused by gunfire.

Police are still investigating a motive into the murder, and at this time, they have no suspects.

Investigators believe there were two men on the porch when the shooting occurred. They ask for anyone with information to please contact the Homicide Unit at 614-645-4730. You may also remain anonymous by leaving a tip with Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-645-TIPS.
