OSU Alert Issued: Fugitive Seen

COLUMBUS -- Around 9:00 p.m. OSU students started getting text alerts waring about a potentially dangerous fugitive in the campus area.
The U.S. Marshal's Office tell ABC6/FOX28 they are on the lookout for Michael Moses Tarpeh, who also goes by the name of "Bigggggg Mike."
The U.S. Marshal's Office contacted University Police saying Tarpeh may be traveling to Central Ohio, specifically the the campus area.
Neither agency would comment further.
Tarpeh is wanted by Morgantown, W.Va. police for aggravated assault and attempted sexual assault.
He is also wanted by Massachusetts State Police for an armed carjacking, robbery and assault and battery.
ABC6/FOX28 also learned Tarpeh has warrants pending with University Of Connecticut police.
Authorities describe him as 6 feet tall, weighing 280 lbs.
Brad Fleming, a spokesman from the U.S. Marshal's Office, ABC6/FOX28 there have been no confirmed sightings of Tarpeh in the campus area, but given his past crimes and the close location to college campuses, investigators are asking everyone to be on alert.
Anyone with information about Tarpeh was asked to contact University Police at 292-2121, or Columbus Police at 645-4545.
