Richard Beasley Sentencing Postponed

Updated: Tuesday, March 26 2013, 05:41 PM EDT
UPDATE:  The judge in Akron has postponed the sentencing of Richard Beasley until April 4th.

There was no reason given for the delay.

AKRON (AP) -- A judge in Ohio must make a life-or-death decision in sentencing a self-styled street preacher for the murders of three down-and-out men responding to Craigslist job ads.
Judge Lynne Callahan in Akron scheduled sentencing for this afternoon for 53-year-old Richard Beasley after last week's vote by a jury that he should be executed.
The judge has the option of reducing the sentence to life in prison.
Teenage co-defendant Brogan Rafferty was sentenced last year to life without parole.

Because of his age, he wasn't eligible for the death penalty.
Three men were killed, and a fourth who was wounded testified at Beasley's trial.
