Suspect Dies After Police Chase, Shooting

COSHOCTON -- A driver is dead after being shot following a Tuesday night police chase that spanned two counties.
The suspect, identified as David Stahl, died Wednesday at Columbus's Grant Medical Center.
Stahl was shot by a deputy after the chase, which began in New Concord in Muskingum County before ending in a crash on US-36 in Coshocton County.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is looking into the case, and has not yet publicly identified the suspect, whose official cause of death has yet to be released.
A deputy was also injured during the incident. He was treated and released from Coshocton Memorial Hospital.
Officers originally tried to stop the suspect due to erratic driving. His motive for fleeing police has not been identified.
