LONDON - Students will return to Jonathan Alder High School Saturday to honor the life of a close friend who died in a rollover crash last Saturday morning in Madison County.
Logan S. Manning, 18, of London, was alone in his car at the time.
The Highway Patrol says the teen was eastbound on Route 29 around 1:45 am, about five miles north of London, when his car went off the left side of the road and rolled several times.
Manning, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected.
The vehicle continued on and came to rest on the left side of the road.
A passing driver stopped and called 911 to report the crash. Alcohol use is unknown at this time.
Manning was a star athlete at Jonathan Alder HS senior. He was a four year starter on the school's varsity soccer team, winning many awards including the team's Most Valuable Player and district honors.
The high school senior was planning to attend Bowling Green State University in the fall.
Calling hours for Manning are Saturday, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., at Jonathan Alder High School in Plain City. The funeral service will follow
at the high school.
