HILLIARD — (Release from Verizon) Verizon Wireless announced plans today to relocate approximately 1,500 employees located in Dublin, Ohio, to the company’s Hilliard facility in 2014.
This consolidation of resources will enhance customer service by allowing for the potential expansion of its employee base in the area.
The move is contingent on approval of the State of Ohio and City of Hilliard incentives.
The company plans to relocate call center and other operations currently housed in Dublin, Ohio, to a company-owned facility in Hilliard, approximately four miles away, in 2014.
The total number of employees relocating to the Hilliard facility at 5000 Britton Road is approximately 1,500 and includes Customer Service, Marketing, IT, Human Resources and Financial Services.
They will join approximately 400 Verizon employees already housed at this location.
The move will provide more space enabling Verizon to expand its employee base in Central Ohio.
With the larger facility, the company has room to accommodate up to 500 new full-time jobs at the Hilliard facility over the next three years.
The consolidation of resources will translate to improved efficiencies and help ensure the company’s customer-facing representatives can continue to provide the best customer experience in the industry.
In addition, Verizon continues to grow to meet its customers’ needs in Ohio by adding additional points of distribution and expanding our sales organization.
Nearly 4,000 employees currently work for Verizon in Ohio.
