Ohio Indy driver Zach Veach relishes second run at the Indy 500
COLUMBUS -- The Stockdale, Ohio native, Zach Veach , will be racing in the Indy 500 on Sunday. The 23 year old will start in the 25th position racing for Andretti Autosport for his second appearance in the race. In 2017, he finished in 26th.
In middle school, Veach was bullied for choosing a different path than his peers. He made racing his escape from this negativity by driving Go-Karts around Circleville Raceway Park. Veach signed to Andretti Autosport at the age of 15, the same year he on CNN's list of "Intriguing People." A year later, he wrote his first book, "99 Things Teens Wish They Knew Before Turning 16."
Veach stopped by the station as a part of the Indy 500 Media Tour before Sunday's race and took a spin in the station's Subaru with Sports Director, Clay Hall. Take a look and see how Veach negotiated the Columbus Streets.
