OSU men's hockey makes first NCAA tourney since 2009
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) -- After an eight-year hiatus, the Ohio State men's hockey team is back in the NCAA Tournament.
The Buckeyes were selected as an at large after a 21-11-6 regular season, including an 11-8-1 mark in Big Ten play. It will be the seventh appearance in program history.
Ohio State will face second overall seed Minnesota-Duluth in Fargo at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
Fellow Big Ten teams Minnesota (regular season champs) and Penn State (conference tournament champs) also qualified among the field of 16.
