Clippers postpone season opener for winter-like conditions, again

Columbus Clippers

For the second straight day, the Columbus Clippers won't "play ball" to start their season.

The cold conditions with the chance of precipitation later in the afternoon prevented their season opener against the Indianapolis Indians for the second straight day after the rain and cold postponed their scheduled season opener on Thursday.

Their weekend slate will remain as is with Friday's postponement rescheduled for when Indianapolis returns to Huntington Park for an originally scheduled two-game series on July 9 and 10.

Saturday 1:05 p.m.

Sunday 1:05 p.m. (DH)
