Bicyclist Seriously Injured by OSU Bus near Campus

COLUMBUS (Ken Hines) -- A bicyclist was rushed to OSU's Wexner Medical Center in serious condition after being hit by a bus near campus on Wednesday afternoon.

The Campus Area Bus Service (CABS) vehicle struck the 65-year-old victim at Summit St. and Chittenden Ave., according to police.

Investigators have not released the identity of the 65-year-old victim, who was carrying a grocery bag on his bicycle when he was struck, according to investigators.

Summit St. was closed between 12th and Chittenden Avenues as Columbus police and OSU transportation department workers investigate the accident.
