Police Find Missing Teen, Toddler

COLUMBUS (Kellie Hanna) Columbus police have found the teenage girl and the toddler at the intersection of N. Warren Ave and Grace St. in West Columbus.

Police searched all morning in the Franklinton area and West Columbus after Searria Meredith and Brooklynn Hunt were reported missing.

They say that on Thursday at about 8:00 p.m., Searria picked up Brooklynn from Brooklynn's mother's house at 177 Dana Avenue in the Franklinton area to spend the night at a friend's house before going to a birthday party on Friday.

Searria and Brooklynn never made it to the friends house, and no one Knew where they were.

Searria had been last seen pushing Brooklynn in a pink umbrella stroller along Dana Ave.

Police searched vacant homes along Dana Avenue where the missing girls were last seen.

Searria's uncle says he say her in a silver car with a guy about 8:15 p.m. and she said hello to him and seemed just fine. He said he didn't know if Brooklynn was also in the vehicle.

Police looked into the fact that a pink stroller is on the front porch of the Dana Ave. home.

So far, no one had answered the door of that home for police or family members until after 9 a.m.

Reporter Mike McCarthy talked exclusively to the father of Searria Meredith.
