Driver Crashes Car into House

MARENGO, OH -- A young adult is hospitalized after crashing his car into a house.

It happened on a stretch of C.R. 26 near the Village of Marengo, which is in Morrow County.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the 23-year-old driver lost control of his car and struck a power pole.  After that, troopers say his car went through a family's yard and into their house.

The man was taken by air ambulance to The Ohio State University's Wexner Medical Center where he's said to be in stable condition.

Nobody inside the house was hurt.

The driver's name wasn't immediately released.  It's not known if he'll be charged.

Utility crews were on the scene as of 12:15 a.m. Saturday working to restore power to the homes affected.
