Pride Festival Draws in Hundreds with No Problems

COLUMBUS (Tara Morgan) - The Pride festival went off without a hitch at Goodale park as police keep a watchful eye on spectators this weekend after recent violence in the LGBT community.

First timer Lisa Stovall says she heard about the violence against gay men in Columbus, but that wasn't going to stop her from enjoying herself at Pride.

"It doesn't make any sense we are who we are.  I feel safe cause you touch me you die," said Stovall.

Police and organizers say everyone has had a fantastic time so far and haven't had problems.

The big draw will be the Pride parade that starts downtown at noon Saturday and will end up at Goodale Park.
