Multivehicle Crash Sends Two To Hospital
CARROLL (Derek Drake) -- Two people have been hospitalized after a three-car accident early Friday morning.
The accident occurred around 2:30 am June 21, 2013 at the intersection of US-33 and Winchester Rd.
Early indications show a car and sport utility vehicle collided in the intersection which sent the SUV into the path of an oncoming semi.
The SUV suffered severe damage and rescuers needed to cut into the vehicle to get the occupant out.
The driver of the car, along with the SUV driver, were both transported to Grant Medical Center in Columbus in unknown conditions.
The driver of the semi was uninjured and was able to drive away from the scene with minor damage to the truck as well.
The accident closed the intersection for about an hour, but reopened completely around 5:00 am.
Investigators continue to work to determine the cause of the accident and who was at fault.
