Charges Dropped in Deadly Circleville Beating

CIRCLEVILLE (Ben Garbarek) -- Charges have been dropped against three people arrested for a deadly fight that killed a Circleville mother.

Brittany Jeffers was killed after a fight broke out in March.  Cameron Eby, Angel Haines and Daniel Harris were all arrested and charged with aggravated rioting.  Now they’ve all been freed.

“I’m afraid I’m not going to get the trial that I want, get the justice that I want,” said Jeffers’ mother Emily Harvey.  “If not, I will take it as far as I can.”

Jeffers’ death rallied her community.  Hundreds of people marched through the streets of Circleville with signs for Brittany.  Then hundreds of people came to a candlelight vigil at Harvey’s home calling for an end to the violence.  Police filed their charges that night.

Now Harvey hopes more charges might be filed down the road.
