PLAIN CITY (Ken Hines) -- A former employee of a Union County landscaping business is charged with using threats to extort thousands of dollars from the company.

Thomas Coverdale faces three felony counts of extortion after allegedly threatening an Environmental Management Inc. payroll clerk in order to obtain more than $10,000 through falsified time sheets.
