Cleaning Up After German Village Drive Thru Breakin

GERMAN VILLAGE (Kellie Hanna) -- Columbus Police Burglary Squad detectives are investigating after the German Village Drive Thru was broken into overnight. 

Police got a report of the burglary alarm going off at 2:13 a.m. at 945 Parsons Avenue which is the address of German Village Drive Thru.

When they got to the scene, a pickup truck had driven through the metal fence and and broken the glass.

They stole several cartons of cigarettes among other things.

Officers canvassed the area to look for the suspects and they spotted the pickup truck in the area of 910 Thurman Ave.

Six people went into the home so additional officers were requested.  All six have been questioned downtown at police headquarters.

That pickup truck was stolen as well.  It has been returned to its owner.

So far, at least one person has been charged in this crime.
