Man Hit and Killed By a Train
POWELL (Kellie Hanna) -- Homicide detectives are looking for clues into why a man was hit and killed by a train.
The man, who is not being identified, was apparently walking along the CSX railroad tracks near Darrow Drive and Nimitz Drive in a wooded area.
Police say he was killed when the train, that was going northbound, hit him just after 7 p.m. Monday.
Whitney Merrin, who lives near the accident, says, "I've cut through to Worthington Hills just to go to my friend's houses before multiple times because it's a lot faster than driving 20 minutes."
Police say this is a very densely wooded area with many steep hills.
Homicide detectives are not saying if this was definitely a suicide or not.
