Missing 2 YO Boy's Family Comes Forward

COLUMBUS (Kellie Hanna) -- A little 2-year-old boy's family has been found after his grandmother woke up and saw his picture on the news.

Neighbors called Columbus Police at 9:30 p.m. Sunday when they saw the toddler walking alone in their trailer park on Stelzer Road.

The child was taken to Franklin County Children's Services intake area downtown on Main Street.

Police went door to door in the area trying to find his parents.

The grandmother and an uncle have custody of the child, and they say the boy went to bed but somehow let himself out.

The little boy has been placed with a foster family and will remain there until the Franklin County Children's Services investigates the circumstances.

Police say charges will likely not be filed as this appears to be an accident.
