Owens Corning Warehouse Fire

NEWARK (Kellie Hanna) -- It took fire crews about two hours to put out a fire at 400 Case Avenue in Licking County.

This is the Owens Corning insulation warehouse in Newark.

Twenty-two fire crews from different departments responded to the scene to assist in putting out the fire including Newark, Heath, and the Licking County Joint Fire District.

Originally, the call came in as a fire alarm, but then they realized there was an actual fire smoldering in the manufactured insulation.

An employee called 9-1-1 just after 7 a.m., and the fire was contained about 9 a.m.

Crews remain on the scene because there are parts that are still smoldering.
