Woman Returns From Hospital After Getting Stabbed by Screwdriver
LINDEN (Jen French)A woman who was stabbed at least 14 times has returned home from the hospital. Police said she played dead and tricked her attacker. She and her husband are now thinking of moving, because their home reminds them of the attack.
Leanna Whitlock spent nearly three days in the hospital after a family friend allegedly raped her and stabbed her with a butter knife and screwdriver.
"I constantly feel like I'm being attacked again--and that I'm going through it again, Whitlock said.
David Hudson has been charged with rape, kidnapping and felonious assault. He was given a $1.5 million dollar bond Friday morning.
Whitlock said when Hudson left her home after he allegedly attacked her
Wednesday, she climbed out the window and yelled for help. Her 20-year-old neighbor, Natheer Abdur-Razzaque called 911.
Whitlock has staples and stitches all over her face. Her teeth are missing and her mouth is numb, but she refuses to be silent.
"People who get stabbed like this--they don't have to hide or anything, Whitlock said.
She says her husband Ronald hasnt left her side.
"He holds me. He tells me how great I look even though I know I don't even look like me anymore, Whitlock said.
As of Saturday evening, Hudson is still being held at the Franklin County Jail.
